CAMBRIA HEIGHTS FCCLA CHAPTER
The Cambria Heights Chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a very active group of young men and women. We are involved in many community and school service projects and usually win state honors for our projects. For this year we have selected several projects which are continued annually but we are always open to something new. Regular meetings were held during activity periods and after school when needed.
Here is a list of our usual chapter activities:
September -- Membership Campaigns
October -- Apple Cider Festival
October -- Fairy Tale Adventure
November -- Christmas Joys Drive
February -- Traffic Safety Program
March -- Read Across America Day
March -- FCCLA State Leadership Conference
July -- National Leadership Meeting
We also do individual projects like Student Body - peer nutrition education, Financial Planning, Entrepreneurship, Job Interview, and Career Awareness.
Our projects help FCCLA members achieve the organization's goals and purposes…leadership and personal development, learning through group involvement and individual activities, increasing understanding between youth and adults through work and community organizations, create opportunities to make decisions, work on social and speaking skills, promoting Family and Consumer Sciences.
FCCLA will provide you with great experiences, lots of fun and plenty of things to write on your resume. Join Now!!
